Qualified

Oliver Gibbs did his apprenticeship with a big company specialising in commercial property refurbishment. Before setting up his business, he gained his City and Guilds qualifications in Site Carpentry. He also worked for a Shrewsbury firm doing domestic carpentry and joinery, including the restoration of listed buildings.

Oliver has worked as a ‘sole trader’ craftsman for over 12 years. He does bespoke work for individuals and businesses and employs trusted sub-contractors on large projects. This includes fitting kitchens and making furniture, to constructing eco-buildings or restoration work such as barn conversions. His clients include The Holy Redeemer Church, Streatham and Minsterley Parish Council. He has appeared in various publications including English Home Magazine.

Oliver is keen to preserve the beauty of the Shropshire Hills where he lives and works and follows an ethical business policy. He tries to source materials and services from the local area.  He publicises an external complaint resolution procedure.  His work is covered by liability insurance of up to £2 million pounds.
