Dealing with DIY disasters
DIY can be costly, not least when it goes wrong.
A survey by Santander in 2010 found that 14% of people had DIY mishaps costing them £344 each on average to repair. Bad do-it-yourself work can invalidate your home insurance and even cut your house price by 5%, according to Which.
At Oliver Gibbs Carpentry & Joinery, we are happy to fix carpentry DIY disasters. Where possible, our carpenters will try and salvage the work and materials. However, it maybe cheaper to start again from scratch.
Of course, you could get a carpenter in to do the work in the first place – it’s less exciting but could be less costly. For a wide range of carpentry and joinery work, do give us call for an embarrassment free quote!
